My Goals for 2012

As I mentioned earlier, I am participating in a bootcamp with coach Katie Humprhey to kick off 2012 with a bang. One of the reasons I chose the bootcamp over other similar programs was that by signing up in December, I got the added bonus of one month access to the Revolution of You Adventure website. Sweet!

I’m getting ready before it starts on Monday using some of the exercises in the adventure. The first exercise is setting your goals for the 12 months ahead in what Katie deems the five areas necessary for a balanced life. This was perfect timing to set my intentions for the new year, and I really found it a welcome change of pace to not be pinned down to just one area rather than overwhelmed with too much.

Mike sat down and did the exercise with me, which was a completely new experience for him. I think that it empowered him to take stock of what he would like to accomplish and to feel that it was within his control to do it. I think it will be really good for us to grow together and to keep each other accountable.

I also know that sharing these goals with the world will keep me accountable for sure! Here is where I would like to be come December 2012 in the five areas:

To be at or near my natural set weight and maintaing without excessive struggle (notice I said struggle, not work or effort – there is a difference).

Have repaired or accepted family relationships and set boundaries.

Create and implementing a business plan to own my own business and be on the way to doubling my income by earning an equal amount to my present salary at my “day” job.

Be able to define Kristin and love her AS IS.

Feel a solid connection to my divine higher power.

It’s very likely that I’ll tweak these goals a bit after our first session on Monday, but I feel like they are a great start to a great year. I put a lot of time and thought into setting them and making sure that they felt right and were my goals. I would love to hear your goals for 2012!

My BIG goal for this year is to create and run an “after school program” for teen girls here in Ocala. It’s already in the works, and I’m jumping with joy at the new possibilities. Yipee!
