I had a great time playing blogger tag last week, and now I get to share some more blogger love with you! I’ve said over and over again that one of the main reasons I blog was for a sense of connection and community with others, and in the past weeks, I’ve really seen this develop through my blog.
Most recently, I decided to participate in the Pretty Blogger Swap hosted by Recipe for a Beautiful Life. I had never done a blogger swap before, but I loved the idea of a blogger-secret-santa-shopping-spree! I was paired with Natalie of FourJedis. Not being a Star Wars fan myself, I’m not sure I would have ever taken time to dig into this blog, and I’m so glad that I did!
As I checked out all of the posts to get some ideas on what goodies to shop for, I felt like I was really getting to know a new friend. Like me, Natalie worked from home. Unlike me (yet…), she was into CrossFit, something I would love to try when I get into better shape. Chatting back and forth over email was a ton of fun.
The best part was picking out the goodies that I got to send, from food and something representing my home state of Virginia to girly accessories, I had a blast making a card and packaging everything to look nice and pretty when it arrived.
The next best part – getting my goodies in the mail! I dug in to the package too quick to snap a picture of the pretty red box everything arrived in, but here’s a picture I snapped after!
I’m beyond ready for a trip to the beach after the palm tree shaped pasta and the beautiful seashell. Just in case I needed an excuse for a party, I got adorable goodie bags and sweets boxes for my guests. I have a feeling breakfast this weekend will be super yummy with the biscuit mix from Charleston (I’m feeling a Paula Deen moment coming y’all!) and I’ll look cute cooking in my polka dot headband. And don’t those earrings look so ME?
A big thank you to Natalie for being such a fabulous partner in the blogger swap, and a thank you to Angie from The Kids Are Alright and Briana at RFABL for hosting the swap and encouraging us bloggers to get out from behind our computers and connect!
