Does anyone else hate cooking, grocery shopping, and meal planning as much as I do?
I know it’s healthier, and I know it’s cheaper, but man is it a pain sometimes! I’ve really been working over the past few weeks to stock our pantry and fridge with healthier options, and to make meals that are both healthy and delicious.
I actually don’t mind cooking in and of itself, I rather enjoy it. It’s trying to cook a healthy dinner that all of us will eat after a long day of work when I’m already starving that I don’t care for too much. I like trying new ingredients and flavors, especially when I have time to play around and sip a glass of wine while I do it. Don’t give me a recipe to stick to and don’t ask me to make the same thing twice and we’re good!
I like grocery shopping too. There’s something relaxing about wandering up and down the aisles, especially if you don’t try to shop at peak times. Since I rarely have a list and just throw random crap into the cart that looks appealing, there’s usually nothing relaxing about trying to put together my random cart into a meal when I get home.
