My name is Kristin, the creative force (aka blogger) behind Quest for Thinner Peace.
I believe that constant learning and growth is not a sign of weakness or major character flaw, but rather a sign of strength and character.
My journey, particularly my weight loss journey, has been one of continuous growth and self-improvement. I’ve learned the facts and myths about nutrition, the secrets of exercise and the art of self-care, but most importantly, I’ve learned about myself and about life. In fact, it’s turned into a journey for happiness, not just some dream number on a scale.
This journey often feels like a game of Chutes and Ladders, with one step forward seemingly erased by eight steps back, but I know these are followed by immeasurable leaps forward.
If our only purpose in this life is to experience happiness, I find mine in John Mayer music, a Sprinkles cupcake, a warm chai latte or an icy cold margarita, lounging in a candlelit bubble bath, reading a good book, writing an even better post and sharing that happiness with the world.
If I’m blogging it, I’ve lived it.
By nature I’m a writer, a social creature, and a (sometimes over) sharer. I’m determined to share not only all that I’ve been given, but everything I never was.
As a city girl transplanted to rural America with my husband, my Shih-Tzu, and my mother, I longed to connect with women motivated to follow their dreams, pursue their goals, and live their best life, but that often felt out of sync with those in my new surroundings. This blog became my place to share and inspire, to connect, and to learn from other women following their own paths to bliss.
This is our place to journey together.
Namaste.
I’ve heard this loosely translated as the divine light in me salutes the divine light in you. I can’t think of a more beautiful way to welcome you all then by acknowledging the divine spark in all of us.
